 Google AdWords lets you publish your ads on Google and their advertising networks.Anyone can run their ads irrespective of their budget.Because you’ll charged only when your ads are clicked by the people.You’ll only have to for the valid clicks only.AdWords ads are shown on Google  when someone searches something using Google search engine.Ads appear on the top of the search results or/and on the side of the search results in the search result pages.These ads are targeted using keywords,demography.Ex. if you have a car website and you want to advertise before US traffic using AdWords.Once you’ve started an ad campaign Google will start showing your ads.Now whenever some searches Google using keywords related to car that are closely related to the keywords you have chosen in your campaign your ads will be shown.If they click on your ads you’ll have to pay.You can also choose to display your ads on content sites in the growing Google Network apart from search results.But,search result pages are more targeted and best traffic that you’ll get.You can choose ad format that suits you the best like  including text, image, and video ads, and easily track your ad performance using the reports available in your account.
You don’t need to pay any monthly fee,just pay a small activation fee.

How To Create An Account With AdWords?

Now it’s time to create your account with AdWords.It very easy and take just few minutes.
1.You need to chose a login name,you can use your Gmail Id and password to sign up with AdWords.But,if you do not already have one, you need to create one.
2.Now you’ll have to select your payment options.Remember you can not change this later.Choose your billing currency and country.You can see the activation fee in your currency,it’s only $5.Also there are information about the mode of payments that you can choose.For prepay accounts you’ll have to pay a minimum amount.

3.If you’ve signed up with your existing Gmail Id then this step is not for you.You can sign into your AdWords accounts now.But,if you’ve created your new Gmail Id then you’ll have to verify your account by login into your email address and clicking on the link that AdWords sends with the activation email.
4.Now you can sign in to your AdWords account and explore that.But,to be able to use it you’ll have to provide your billing information.Once you provide your billing information you can start running your ad campaigns.
You have the option to choose either prepaying or post paying options.For post paying option your account will immediately bee activated.But,if your choose prepaying option then it may take few day to activate your accounts.

You Can Control costs

The best part of AdWords is that you can control the amount of money you want to invest.There is no minimum spending limit.You can set a daily limit of spending.Google will follow that.You can also choose the biding option,this can significantly cut your costs.Quality of ads can save you money,because the more quality score you have less you’ll have to pay per click.

How To Create An Ad Campaigns?

Now, as your account is activated it’s time to set up ad campaigns.Click on the ‘Create Your First Campaign’ button in your account.
  1. Here you can select language and the demography of your ads.
  2. You can show your ads in goggle search results only or on the goggle network too.
  3. Determine a daily budget for your campaign.
  4. Enter the maximum amount you are ready to pay per click on your ads.
  5. Write your ads- Ads consists of four things-untitled
  • Headline: It’s the first line of your ads.The texts are hyperlinked to your destination URL.Using keywords in the headline gives the best result.
  • Lines of text: You  only have two lines to describe your product or website.So,use it intelligently.
  • Display URL: The last line of your ad is used to show the URL of the website you’re promoting.Don’t use misleading display URLs.It never helps.
  • Destination URL: This is not visible in the ad.This is where you want to send the people who clicks on your ad.
6.Now as your ad is ready,tell AdWords what are keywords your ads should appear on.Make sure you do enough research for keywords as this is the most important factor for your ads doing well.Highly targeted keywords can give you wonderful results.

Tracking Your Performance

Once your ad campaign is ready it’ll be shown in the Google.Now it’s the time to track your performance.You can mainly track four things-whether your ads are running,what is your quality score,whether you are achieving goals and whether you’re making any profit.You can find all these info in your account’s ‘Reporting’ tab.All the data related to your ad’s performance are available here in this tab.
Use the AdWords Ad Preview tool www.google.com/AdPreview to see whether the your ad is appearing in the search results or not.
NB:Before starting your AdWords campaign make sure you’ve studied the AdWords advertising policies.If you fail to comply with that then you might even lose your AdWords account.
Using AdWords can easily be the very best decision you’ve ever taken,provided you’ve learnt all the tricks and techniques of search engine marketing.But,the most unfortunate thing is that you can not learn search engine marketing unless you’re ready to lose some money,the only way to learn search engine marketing is by experimenting.Even if you lose some money now  in the long run this can be very very rewarding.
